Pumpkin Patch Tradition

The past few years Jeremy's dad has come to visit us in October. So we have every year taken Titus, and the past two years now -Mac, to the pumpkin patch farm. We each got to chose a small pumpkin to take home with us. The boys had fun petting the farm animals. Titus even got to hold a big chicken all by himself!  We also got to enjoy a hayrack ride. That reminded Jeremy & I of some funny memories of a hay ride a long time ago!
Titus & Mac had a fun time pretending to drive the old tractor (they had to wait for Jeremy to get off of it first!)
We had a fun time at the farm. Hopefully we will get to continue our tradition for as long as the boys will still want to go to the farm.
There are more pictures on Facebook.

Mac-n-Cheese!

So Mac can say Cheese! I didn't even tell him to say it. I just got the camera and he started smiling and saying Cheeeeeeese. You can almost hear him saying it while looking at a couple of these pictures.
He also said "kitty" when there was a white cat in our front yard the other day too.

" You are my sunshine...."

This past week there was a special moment. I'm blogging about it, because it is one of those things that your kid does that you don't want to forget. I was tucking Titus into bed (probably for the 3rd time that night). He asked that I sing him a song (the only person who ever request my singing!)    So the other night we sang "you are my sunshine". He was singing along with me and when it came to "you'll never know dear, how much I love you...." Titus said, You'll never know mommy, how much I love you...."      It was a moment that's for sure.  I loved it of course. I just hope, that even when he is older and his voice has gotten lower, that I will always be able to hear his adorable little boy voice in my head.....   "you'll never know T how much I love you, so please don't take my sunshine away!"
My handsome boys!
Looks like Titus is part pirate!
I think they are all starting to look more
like each other. Handsome.

Playing around

Mac likes to fall on the big pillows and roll off of them. He just cracks up at himself, he thinks it's so much fun!
I'm not sure what kind of face this is that he is making here?! He definitely has quite a few different expressions!

Ouch!

Today at about 5:30 I was getting dinner ready. Jeremy wasn't home and Titus and Mac were playing in the living room. Mac started crying, the hurt cry. So I ran into the living room and didn't want to move him at first because I could tell he was hurt. Titus said "I didn't push him mommy." But I didn't see what happened and I didn't get details of what did happen from Mac or Titus. He could have possibly been trying to climb the entertainment center and fell, I'm not sure.
We went to the after hours clinic and Mac got some x-rays.
He has a fracture in the fibula which is the bone connecting the ankle and knee. This picture is him when we got home from the doctor's. He looks pitiful! I feel bad for Mac, but I have to admit that it was fun having him cuddle with me for about 3 hours. The splint & tylenol has helped his leg feel better already. With Mac getting all this attention I hope Titus doesn't try to break his leg too!

This is when Titus and Jeremy came home and saw him. Mac was happy to see them and was feeling a little better! He had just woke up from about an hour nap. He was worn out from all the crying.

Titus & Me

Jeremy had a great idea (surprising I know). I'm teasing he has lots of good ideas. But he was like why don't you and Titus go on a date. Of course. That was a great idea. So he took Titus to the store before our date and T picked out a couple roses for me. Jeremy helped Titus get all ready for our date. Titus showered, put a button up shirt on, his nice shoes, and some of his daddy's cologne. Jeremy put the cash for our movie in his pocket. He showed Titus how to open my car door and we were off on our date. We went and saw a movie, Titus paid. What a gentleman I have for a son. I know it's because he's got a wonderful Dad to learn from. Thank you Jeremy and Titus for a wonderful time. I love you guys.

Good times in the Summertime '08
The boys love to get in the hot tub to cool off.

Mac David

So the other night Jeremy and I were watching tv and the boys were playing. Here is our conversation:
Me: Where's Mac?
Jeremy: I don't know, I'll go check on him.
(About 20 seconds later), Kristi, Get in here!! Here is where we found Mac. How he got up there we aren't totally sure, but he must have climbed up the toilet to the counter. His new nickname now instead of Macky David is now Monkey David. What is funny to us is that he is better at climbing than he is at walking. He is walking more each day, but he still prefers to crawl.
Speaking of Mac.... I better go find that cute monkey!

Titus has been saying things lately that amaze me sometimes. I love it.
This morning it was just me and him eating breakfast together at the table. He was staring out the window and we were just talking. I was reading my Bible and came across John 3:16 so I read it to Titus. He is pretty smart and is learning a lot of Bible stories from church. He talks about Jesus sometimes, so I thought he might know that Jesus died on a cross. So I asked him," What did Jesus do for you?" Titus answered, "He gave me a hug." AAAAWWWWW!!!

T is for 3

Titus had a fun superman birthday party! All the boys at the party looked cute in their superman masks. We had fun. We ate pizza, sang happy birthday, ate cake & icecream, opened presents and blew bubbles outside. Then Titus wanted everyone to let a helium balloon fly away outside. So all the kids had a balloon and let it go into the sky. It was a windy day so the balloons were out of sight so fast. The wind took them straight south so that made the house in the way of us seeing them. It was funny. Oh and zach had an amazing catch of Caleb's balloon before it was time to let them go. I've never seen him move so fast. He had superman reflexes, it was probably the help of the mask he was still wearing. Just kidding. But he did catch a balloon that was let go prematurely.
Most importantly Titus had a wonderful day. We loved watching his face light up. He had fun with his friends and loved getting new toys. He loved every minute of it!

Rainbows

Last night on our way to church it was sprinkling outside. When we were all getting out of the car and walking up to church we saw two beautiful rainbows. They were beautiful and the kind where you could see the entire rainbow from end to end. It was neat. But even crazier was that we picked Titus up from his class and his project that he made was a plastic bowl with both of the ends of different colored pipe cleaners stuck in it. They were rainbows! The bowl had a sticker on it that talked about Noah & the rainbow. We thought it was pretty cool. God is pretty cool like that!

Too sweet

This morning right when Titus woke up he was talking to me. I asked him if he had sweet dreams and what he dreamed about (i know you aren't supposed to tell your dreams before breakfast), but He answered that he dreamed about Jesus. I thought awww!

It happened

I've always heard stories of this happening and today it happened. We were finishing up lunch, (Titus, Mac & I). Titus said, "The cheese is up my nose mommy!" Oh no i thought, this is not good. I told him to blow and instead he sniffs (no good!) I look and sure enough a piece of cheddar cheese is up there. I went and got tweezers. I got a chunk out but had to get a flashlight to make sure I had gotten it all. I think I got it all. If something smells like it's rotting in about a week I'll know what it is!

We got to celebrate my birthday by going out to my restaurant of choice. We are celebrating a little early because Jeremy & I won't be together on the actual day. We had a fun time tonight. My boys looked good. They all had a collared shirt on, which in our fam is dressing up a little. We all looked good, then went out for yummy mexican. It was delicious as always. The boys were good and we had fun. Thanks boys! Happy Birthday to me!! Oh yeah, and before we left to go out, Jeremy told Titus we are going out for mommy's birthday. And Titus sang "Happy Birthday" to me. He also said he got me balloons and a cake (he didn't, that was from a video he watches.)

Pretty stinkin' cute

Being a mom is so fun. It makes it even more fun when your kids are cute. I think my job is a blast.

Isn't He Wonderful?

wonderful isn't he?
Jeremy took me out this weekend on a date. We decided to celebrate valentine's day early. We are so in love we just couldn't wait till v-day :)
That isn't really why celebrated early, we went this weekend because we had a free sitter this weekend (jeremy's mom).
Anyways. Jeremy planned the date and it was a total surprise. We had so much fun. We went to Enid,OK. Now we didn't have a blast because Enid is a hopping town. We had fun because we totally got to reminisce and talk about our life and how it was 7 years ago when we first moved to Enid. Jeremy and I moved there very shortly after we got married. We lived there almost 2 years.
Jeremy made reservations at a nice restaurant we used to eat at with our 80 year old friends. We enjoyed our dinner while listening to the same piano player who was there 7 years ago. He is really good.
After dinner we went to our old neighborhood and we took the walk that we had taken many times before. We took walks all the time while we lived there, there wasn't much else to do! We drove around town and just got to talk and hang out. Jeremy surprised me with a wonderful date. He is wonderful. Thanks Babe. I love you too!
