Monkey see, Monkey do.

My dad was here for a couple days. We took the boys to the zoo! We had a good time. I had been looking forward to taking Mac to the zoo because he likes animals. To him every animal makes a "rrrrooaarr" sound!
Titus and my dad had matching Cardinal shirts. T liked that......so did my dad :)
Mac was waving at the gorillas. They were fun to watch. There was one gorilla that was just watching Mac. It was like the gorilla wanted to talk to him.

Birthday Girl

So all day yesterday I got to celebrate my birthday. Jeremy planned some of my day so that it would be extra special. He did a great job. I loved the entire day. He gave me my birthday card in the morning while he made us breakfast. The card informed me that he had a massage scheduled for me that morning. Awesome. I love massages, but have never had a professional one. That was great. The boys painted me a big birthday card, and we went to lunch as a family. The boys went down for a nap and I got to go shop in the afternoon. Jeremy had the evening planned out for the two of us. He knows I like to try out different places to eat, so he made reservations to Iron Star - urban bbq. We had never been there before so that was fun. After walking off dinner, we went to "Cuppies and Joe."  This was another thoughtful act of Jeremy, because he knows I like coffee houses, but there aren't any in Edmond (that we have found.) So he found this place out and it was neat. We shared some cupcakes and hot chocolate. The chocolate peanut butter cupcake was our favorite!!  MMMM... so good!
Thanks to all my friends and family for wishing me a happy birthday too.
Oh and when my dad was here last week he took us out to Charlestons for my birthday too (that is what the picture of the four of us is from.) Thanks Dad. I'm glad you were here to visit us!

Titus and mac got to meet their cousin, Lola for the first time. She's a sweetie and the boys were really good with her.

Enjoying the little things

Mac and Titus found a hiding spot in the linen closet. For some reason this was fun to me. I thought about how one day they will be too big to fit in there, so I better enjoy it now. I grabbed my camera so I could remember these little things in life that are enjoyable. I think they are pretty stinkin cute!

Our Friends

Last night we got to have a party. Any reason for a party is usually good, unless it is a going away party for someone you really like, then it can be sad.  We got to have a party celebrating Zach & Ashley and all the people here in Oklahoma that care about them. There were 30+ people that went out to eat, then some came over to our house for dessert & rock band.
l I hope Zach & Ashley know how much we all love them. Thinking of them and our friendship, here are some pictures to highlight our good times together. Of course these are only a few of our memories. We have had tons of laughs together. Thanks for being a part of our family's lives, Zach, Ashley, Caleb & Austin. We love you guys.

Titus the photographer

Whenever Titus gets the camera we come up with some unique shots. He went around to all of us and wanted to take a picture of himself with each of us. (Wonder where he got that?) We all do it! I like his expression in the picture with Jeremy, it totally says, "Look at me with my dad, He is awesome."

Pumpkin Patch Tradition

The past few years Jeremy's dad has come to visit us in October. So we have every year taken Titus, and the past two years now -Mac, to the pumpkin patch farm. We each got to chose a small pumpkin to take home with us. The boys had fun petting the farm animals. Titus even got to hold a big chicken all by himself!  We also got to enjoy a hayrack ride. That reminded Jeremy & I of some funny memories of a hay ride a long time ago!
Titus & Mac had a fun time pretending to drive the old tractor (they had to wait for Jeremy to get off of it first!)
We had a fun time at the farm. Hopefully we will get to continue our tradition for as long as the boys will still want to go to the farm.
There are more pictures on Facebook.

Mac-n-Cheese!

So Mac can say Cheese! I didn't even tell him to say it. I just got the camera and he started smiling and saying Cheeeeeeese. You can almost hear him saying it while looking at a couple of these pictures.
He also said "kitty" when there was a white cat in our front yard the other day too.

" You are my sunshine...."

This past week there was a special moment. I'm blogging about it, because it is one of those things that your kid does that you don't want to forget. I was tucking Titus into bed (probably for the 3rd time that night). He asked that I sing him a song (the only person who ever request my singing!)    So the other night we sang "you are my sunshine". He was singing along with me and when it came to "you'll never know dear, how much I love you...." Titus said, You'll never know mommy, how much I love you...."      It was a moment that's for sure.  I loved it of course. I just hope, that even when he is older and his voice has gotten lower, that I will always be able to hear his adorable little boy voice in my head.....   "you'll never know T how much I love you, so please don't take my sunshine away!"
My handsome boys!
Looks like Titus is part pirate!
I think they are all starting to look more
like each other. Handsome.

Playing around

Mac likes to fall on the big pillows and roll off of them. He just cracks up at himself, he thinks it's so much fun!
I'm not sure what kind of face this is that he is making here?! He definitely has quite a few different expressions!

Ouch!

Today at about 5:30 I was getting dinner ready. Jeremy wasn't home and Titus and Mac were playing in the living room. Mac started crying, the hurt cry. So I ran into the living room and didn't want to move him at first because I could tell he was hurt. Titus said "I didn't push him mommy." But I didn't see what happened and I didn't get details of what did happen from Mac or Titus. He could have possibly been trying to climb the entertainment center and fell, I'm not sure.
We went to the after hours clinic and Mac got some x-rays.
He has a fracture in the fibula which is the bone connecting the ankle and knee. This picture is him when we got home from the doctor's. He looks pitiful! I feel bad for Mac, but I have to admit that it was fun having him cuddle with me for about 3 hours. The splint & tylenol has helped his leg feel better already. With Mac getting all this attention I hope Titus doesn't try to break his leg too!

This is when Titus and Jeremy came home and saw him. Mac was happy to see them and was feeling a little better! He had just woke up from about an hour nap. He was worn out from all the crying.
